Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is targeted towards new and current specialists in the WHS field.

Course objectives

Work Health and Safety practicioners play a vital part in any organisation. The skills and knowledge you gain in this qualification, will allow you to work as a WHS coordinator, WHS advisor, health and safety officer and WHS manager. As well as assuming responsibility for their own performance, individuals at this level provide guidance to others and have responsibility for workplace health and safety.

Pre-requisites
  • Have a minimum of 12 months' full-time employment, working within the work health and safety related area or another area of a council where your responsibilities relate to Work Health and Safety.
Delivery
Our instructor-led Certificate provides participants with interactive sessions including group discussions, case study reviews, question and answer sessions. Our training course includes all course training materials, assessment and mentoring/assistance by your allocated trainer.
Duration & location
Our standard structure for this course is 8 full days to be completed over a period of six months and can be delivered in any metropolitan or regional areas of Queensland.
