Round 5 of the Building our Regions program will soon be available to local governments in regional Queensland who are undertaking infrastructure projects that create flow-on economic development opportunities and jobs.

The program has reinforced its focus to deliver more on economic outcomes for regional communities, with funding now targeted towards job creating infrastructure which will improve economic conditions and liveability.

Round 5 includes $70 million in funding and details of how to apply for the funding will be available soon.

The program has allocated funding towards 223 projects across 66 local government areas in regional Queensland, supporting an estimated 2419 jobs and attracting additional investment of $487 million from councils and other organisations.
