Workplace investigations undertaken by the Workforce Services team are conducted to the highest standard in accordance with legislative requirements and procedural fairness. We work with local Councils to investigate allegations and complaints and provide ongoing support. Types of investigations include:

  • Preliminary assessment of complaints
  • Bullying, harassment and discrimination investigations
  • Fraud investigations
  • Misconduct and corruption investigations

Investigations are typically conducted using the following methodology:

  • Participate in an initial briefing from Council
  • Review all relevant documents provided by Council
  • Review all relevant Council policy/procedures
  • Interview relevant Council staff and any other relevant parties
  • Analyse all information
  • Make determinations
  • Prepare draft report
  • Confer with key stakeholders to discuss draft report
  • Complete and deliver final report.
