Audience

This qualification is necessary for all authorised persons, investigators, auditors, health and safety offiers, animal control offiers, building inspectors, monitoring officers, licensing officers, vector control officers, local laws/by-laws officers, supervisors and managers.

Course objectives

Certificate IV in Government Investigations (Regulatory complaince specialisation) course takes you through the full investigative process starting with the receipt of an initial complaint through to final prosecution.

Pre-requisites
  • Have a minimum of 12 months' full-time employment, working within local goverment. 
    AND
  • Hold a position which requires you to undertake tasks and projects within Council's operations
    OR
  • Acquired a completed Performance Appraisal statement within the last twelve months, reflecting your competencies within Council.
Delivery
Our instructor-led Certificate provides participants with interactive sessions including group discussions, case study reviews, question and answer sessions. Our training course includes all course training materials, assessment and mentoring/assistance by your allocated trainer.
Duration & location
Our standard structure for this course is 8 full days to be completed over a period of six months and can be delivered in any metropolitan or regional areas of Queensland.
