Who Should Attend?

Staff employed in finance, governance or engineering roles who interact with asset management issues.

Course Objectives

Gain a better understanding of asset management practices, budget preparation and compliance and develop the ability to review asset management policies and procedures within council.

Identify key elements of asset management in council and improve their awareness of best practices and resources available.

Course Outcomes

Candidates will currently be employed in roles relating to Asset Management and/or have equivalent experience in this field.

Work in partnership with your Manager to gain formal recognition for your work, roles and responsibilities currently being undertaken.

On successful completion of your course and all assessments, you will receive a Nationally recognised qualification outlining the course completed and the units within that course.

  • Have a minimum of two years’ full-time employment, working within the Financial, Governance or Engineering Management area or another area of a Council where your responsibilities relate to asset management; or
  • Hold formal degree or diploma qualification in an asset management related field and are now working for a council; or
  • Have 2 years’ experience in a similar, related position in the private or government sector.
Our instructor-led diploma provides participants with interactive sessions including group discussions, case study reviews, question and answer sessions.  Our training course includes all course training materials, assessment and mentoring/assistance by your allocated trainer.
Duration & Location
Our standard structure for this course is 7 full days to be completed over a period of six months and can be delivered in any metropolitan or regional area of Queensland.
