About Andrew

Andrew has extensive experience in employment law and industrial relations and has worked in senior legal and industrial relations roles across several large private and public sector firms, such as TechnologyOne, Suncorp, Brisbane City Council, Gadens Lawyers and the Office of Industrial Relations. 
Before becoming a solicitor and industrial relations advisor, Andrew was a Police Officer with the Queensland Police for 13 years in a number of roles, including Team Leader of the Gold Coast Crime Unit investigating targeted crime and as a Senior Police Prosecutor. 
Over the course of his career, Andrew has also had significant involvement in the review of workplace policies and training with a view to improving the outcomes for both the organisation and their staff.  

Key Experience

Office of Industrial Relations (OIR)

Undertook F2F Code of Conduct training for over 800 staff across Queensland over a 6-month period. Andrew was pivotal in the preparation of training materials, resulting in a change in culture in relation to reporting complaints.

Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBA)

Negotiation and preparation of EBAs and lodgment in the Fair Work Commission.

Appearances at the Anti-Discrimination Commission, QCAT, the Industrial Relations Commission, Fair Work Commission and State and Commonwealth Courts

Undertake investigations into allegations of discrimination, bullying and harassment, workplace conduct and performance issue.
