In recognition of the innovative contribution made by Graeme ‘Butch’ LeButch Lenton Award Trophy 2022nton as Mayor of Winton Shire Council, Peak Services continues the annual Butch Lenton Memorial Bush Council Innovation $10,000 Bursary for the sixth year.

Butch, spent more than 20 years pursuing his unique vision for the region which included developing tourism, improving telecommunications and other innovative projects to enable the community to build a thriving local economy.

This Peak Services' annual award recognises innovation by Bush Councils and pays tribute to Butch’s legacy.

The $10,000 bursary will be judged by a panel of council representatives from across Queensland, along with Peak Services Managing Director and CEO, Brent Reeman. The award is presented at the LGAQ Annual Conference each year and showcased at the Bush Councils Convention, held every two years.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Congratulations to 2023 winners Charters Towers Regional Council for their innovative community masterplan focussed on economic outcomes and liveable communities for the future.

Running since 2018, to date, four winners have received a $10,000 bursary to support the initiative awarded:
