An Authorised Persons is appointed by a council CEO under each state’s Local Government Act to ensure members of the public comply with their responsibilities under various Acts. Our course is suited to local laws officers, animal management officers and environmental health officers, senior staff, and environmental health officers. This course introduces the role of the Government Authorised Person, focusing on legislation. Participants will gain an improved understanding of the legal processes within their role, and how better to interpret the Acts they administer.
Learning Outcomes
Once participants successfully completed this eLearning program which includes Local Government Worker, they will gain an understanding of the legislation and compliance pertaining to the Authorised Persons role; increase their knowledge of the Local Government Act and they will gain an increased understanding of the powers and responsibilities of this role.
eLearning Summary
Our course includes the Local Government Worker component. There is no legislative timeframes with regards to “refresher” training but each 24 months is recommended.
