Queensland Government Announces $40,000,000 Fund for Recycling Infrastructure

Back

The government is now accepting applications from local governments, as well as not-for-profits and public or private companies, for grant funding to improve existing facilities and supporting the use of proven resource recovery technology. The aim of the grant is to grow our domestic waste and recycling industry and ensure we have the infrastructure needed to support the new laws regarding waste-export bans.

In this new sustainable modern age, the green industry will come to dominate. Businesses and governments taking advantage of this new program will be able to participate in a growing new world economy and take credit for pushing Australia forward toward an innovative future. With our state of the art legal team and grant program office, Peak Services is proud to offer Queensland enterprises the chance to sign up with ease and get their program going as soon as possible.

Applications need to focus on how recycling projects will:

  • Improve the remanufacturing of waste
  • Divert waste from landfills
  • Create jobs (particularly in rural areas)
  • Address regional challenges to recycling
  • Contribute to the building of a domestic recycled materials market
  • Nurture economic development

See our Grant Program Office for more information, or view all open grants here.

Projects must be delivered by 30 June 2024.
Applications close at 5 pm Tuesday 7 September 2021.
