  • The Understanding Local Government eLearning course is suited to all Queensland local government officers. It has been developed and contextualised to the local government environment.   • This course has been developed for all local government staff members. Local government employees have a responsibility to act legally and ethically in carrying out their local government responsibilities. They must carry out their local government duties in a way that complies with the principles outlined in the current Local Government Act and is consistent with their local government’s Code of Conduct. READ MORE

  • This course has been designed to provide employees with an understanding about bullying and harassment in the workplace, the type of behaviour that should be avoided and what employees can do if bullying or harassment is occurring in their workplace.

  • This course has been developed to provide the learner with an understanding of how to recognise and avoid behaviour that could be considered sexual harassment, and what to do if they are being subjected to or witness this type of behaviour.

  • This course has been developed to provide an understanding of health and safety responsibilities in the workplace, how risk is managed in the workplace using the risk management process, and what workers should expect to find in the workplace to help them to work safely.

  • This course has been developed to provide the learner with an understanding of the controls that should be applied to confined spaces in the workplace.

  • This course has been developed to provide the learner with an understanding of the controls that should be applied to excavations in the workplace.

  • This course has been developed to provide the learner with an understanding of the risk controls that should be applied to working at heights in the workplace.

PACK 3: Poor Performance

  • This course will provide you with an understanding of what misconduct, poor performance and absenteeism are, and what can happen if they're not managed correctly.

  • This course has been designed to provide training in how to manage the discipline process with consistency and procedural fairness

PACK 4: Health and Wellbeing

  • This course raises awareness about the effects of mental health in the workplace. It also provides pathways to improvement that learners can apply in their own workplace.

  • This course has been developed to provide you with an understanding of workplace stress and a range of strategies to help you manage stress.

  • This course has been developed to provide you with an understanding of how to deal with and de-escalate conflict.

     

PACK 5: Work, health and safety

  • This course has been developed to provide an understanding of health and safety responsibilities in the workplace, how risk is managed in the workplace using the risk management process, and what workers should expect to find in the workplace to help them to work safely. 

  • This course has been developed to provide managers and supervisors with an introduction to some of the key requirements of the model work health and safety legislation.

  • This course has been developed to provide the learner with an understanding of what hazardous chemicals are and how to identify them, their responsibilities and requirements to maintain safety in the workplace and the controls used to manage the risks presented by hazardous chemicals. 

Pack 6: Fire & Evacuation

  • This product has been updated to provide more relevant imagery and minor text modifications in line with current terminology. This course features some great illustration, animation and activities.

  • This course has been developed to provide the learner with an understanding of why evacuations take place, what occurs during an emergency and their responsibilities concerning evacuation.

     

Pack 7: Hazardous Chemicals

  • This course has been developed to provide people in supervisory roles with an understanding of how to manage hazardous chemicals in the workplace.

  • This course has been developed to provide the learner with an understanding of the controls that should be applied to hazardous chemicals in the workplace.

Pack 8: Injury & Incidents

  • This course has been developed to provide an overview of the legislative requirements for incident reporting and investigation and the knowledge and practical advice to conduct an investigation successfully.

  • This course will provide managers and supervisors with a better understanding of injury management, and of their role and responsibilities in relation to injury management.

  • This course has been developed to provide the learner with an understanding of the injury management process, their rights and responsibilities regarding injury management, and the steps they need to take if injured at work.
