Melody Martin

Melody is an experienced employment lawyer with expertise in industrial and employee relations.

Melody advises clients on a range of industrial and employment law matters, including providing strategic advice on employee and industrial disputes.

Melody provides comprehensive advice on QIRC claims, the management of bullying, harassment and discrimination claims, and performance and disciplinary matters.

Melody has experience in both the public and private sector including State government, private practice, and member associations.

Melody has previously worked in the employment team at a top tier law firm in Brisbane. In that role, she was involved in the provision of high-level industrial advice, as well as Federal and Supreme Court employment litigation.

Melody worked for an energy Government Owned Corporation, managing employee relations matters, industrial disputes, and significant internal restructures.

Melody has worked for several years in the Education sector, both in State Government and for a member association for independent schools. In those roles, she managed QIRC claims, enterprise bargaining processes, industrial disputes, employee disciplinary matters and unfair dismissals, and advised on Award and Agreement interpretation as well as contract matters and interpretation of legislation.
